Inter-Shul Football League Update

The Frankel-Wilson combination showed no signs of letting up, as two goals each led to a 4-2 win against Adas Yisroel.

In truth it should have been a far more comfortable night than it was. Sruli was his usual composed self in goal, and Darren and Gary led from the back, making intelligent runs to open up the game.

But some of the decision making and opportunities to score could have been executed better. When we pass the ball at the right time and in the right areas, we are a very good team, but we need to be doing more of this.

Inter-Shul Football League Update

Both teams were indebted to their goalkeeper, as a 3-3 classic was played out in our opening game of the new league season against Windsor Road.

A great point against the Summer Cup winners or disappointment not to take all three points? What is not in doubt is that, almost back to full strength, this was a different game to the one we lost against the same opposition in the group stages during the cup competition.

The game started at a frantic pace and never really let up. Windsor Road started on the front foot, drawing some great saves from Sruli and nearly scoring when they hit the post.

We started to put some good passing moves together, and it was us who opened the scoring when Mordy found Aron, who moved it on to Yaakov to finish.
