After a week's break we returned to action, and recorded a 6-3 win over Ohel Shalom.
In the opening stages we always looked the more likely to score, and Aron opened the scoring and then added a second. There was then time for some showboating from Yaakov, as he superbly volleyed home from his own flick-up.
We were looking very comfortable and could have scored more but five minutes of madness saw Ohel Shalom score three quick goals to level the score.
At this point, we could have collapsed completely, with Ohel Shalom in the ascendancy, but, to our credit, we kept our heads and kept playing our own game.
Moments after one chance was missed following a great through ball from Yaakov, a long ball was volleyed home by Mordy for his first goal of the season. He had displayed excellent hold-up play all game, so this was fully deserved. Gary then thumped the ball home to also open his account, and Yaakov completed the scoring to put the game to bed.
A special mention must go to Sruli, who tore a muscle in his shoulder midway through the game, yet still pulled off some incredible saves. We wish him a speedy recovery.
