A depleted team and a change in personnel saw us slip to our first defeat of this cup campaign.
With Sruli still not fully fit, and not worth risking before the semi-final, Gary deputised in goal, with Sruli taking his place in defence. Despite some good saves from Gary, it was not enough to prevent us losing 5-3 to Windsor Road.
Also missing Yaakov in midfield, we fell behind 3-0, but as we found our feet and a better shape, and started passing the ball better and quicker, we did create chances.
Although the Windsor Road goalkeeper was equal to a lot of our shots we did finally manage to score, but goals from Aron, Ryan and Daren were not enough to stop us losing our grip on top spot in the group.
The good news is that we do have a semi-final to look forward to and we will hopefully have a fully fit team back for that. Details of the opposition and time will be in next week's newsletter.
